Kinder Farm Park

Kinder Farm Park is a truly unique gem among parks in the region and probably anywhere. Kinder has a huge playground (known by the locals as “Big Kinder”) and a smaller tot lot (“Little Kinder”) which alone can make for a fun day with the kids, but the park is also designed to preserve the farming history of the 1930’s depression era, and as such there are typically a variety of animals for the kids to see up close, including chickens, turkeys, geese, cows, pigs, goats and sheep.

The park also features a 2.4 mi paved perimeter trail which is extremely popular with families for biking as well as jogging and walking in addition to several miles of natural trails. The 288-acre park offers a huge variety of natural and recreational activities including hiking, biking, bird watching, fishing and picnicking. There are picnic tables and grills throughout the park in addition to 2 large pavilions that are frequently used by locals for parties. Also contained within the park is the Garcelon Athletic Complex, which features 6 pristine multi-purpose fields (2 with artificial grass), 4 baseball fields and multiple tennis and basketball courts, several of which are lighted. Last but not least, the park contains one of the only Frisbee-golf courses in the area!
